Forehead Lift

What Is A Brow Lift?

Much of our facial expression occurs in the brow/forehead region of the face, allowing us to show a broad range of emotions. Our brow position can convey sadness, anger, alertness, and even contentment. Unfortunately, as we age and our brow area begins to droop, our face might give off a sad, angry, or tired appearance regardless of our actual mood. Secondarily, as the upper facial structure droops, horizontal expression lines and vertical frown lines become more pronounced.

Bring a more youthful, refreshed look to the area above your eyes with a forehead lift (or “brow lift”). Drooping eyebrows, hooding over eyes, and furrowed foreheads can be smoothed out by removing excess tissue, altering muscles, and tightening the forehead skin. The result is a relaxed, naturally youthful appearance. Dr. Watterson is proud to offer brow/forehead lifts to patients in Draper, Salt Lake City, Sandy, South Jordan, and the entire Wasatch Front. What Are The Benefits Of A Forehead Lift?

A brow/forehead lift can achieve:

  • Raise sagging eyebrows that hood the upper eyelids
  • Softening of horizontal brow lines
  • Softening of vertical frown lines
  • Softening of the wrinkle that can occur on the bridge of the nose between the eyes
  • Place the eyebrows in a more alert and youthful position

How Is A Brow Lift Performed?

A brow lift can be performed with or without an endoscope (an instrument that allows the plastic surgeon to view the muscles and tissues underneath the forehead skin). Using the endoscopic approach, small incisions are made in the hair-bearing scalp. After elevating the brow and altering underlying muscles, the area is sutured snugly in place and loose bandages are applied – and after recovery, you emerge with a more restful look.

How Long Does A Brow Lift Take?
