At Watterson Plastic Surgery, we do require our mommy makeover patients to be within 10-percent of their ideal body weight to qualify for this procedure. The reason behind that is, continued weight loss will create more sagging and loose skin, which is what these procedures are meant to address.
How soon after I give birth can I have a mommy makeover?
We understand you want to feel good about your body, but you may need a little bit of patience. We advise our patients to be finished with breastfeeding for at least three months before a mommy makeover procedure. It’s important that your breasts are back to a normal, natural size. As previously mentioned, you also need to be within 10-percent of your goal weight, which may take time.
Can I get a mommy makeover if I’m still planning on having more children?
This is something we will discuss during your consultation because it is very important regarding this procedure. It is recommended that patients that are considering a mommy makeover are finished having children simply because pregnancy would undo all of the work we have done and likely will want another mommy makeover afterward. Bottom line, if you believe there’s even a possibility that you may have another child, it’s advised that you postpone your mommy makeover.
