I have had the absolute best experience with Dr. Watterson. 10 days ago today I had some glandular tissue removed (male gynecomastia). The breast tissue on both sides had some harder lumps to them, and they would really hurt. I met with Dr. Watterson, told him my concerns, what I was hoping to get out of it and he couldn't have been more cool! He was so easy to talk to, I had several questions which he answered very well. One big thing for me is he spent time with me. I didn't feel rushed ever. So that was a Tuesday, and I may have encouraged him to do the surgery (yes he did have time) that same Friday. Friday came (10 days ago) and the procedure was slick. I went home took it easy, for reals. Friday night I had quite a bit of bleeding, which of course freaked my wife out. She called his cell phone, and he picked right up. He said that we would need to go back in Saturday morning, and fix the bleeding. So Saturday came, procedure was quick again. The team didn't normally come in Saturdays, but they were all awesome. I've since done two post op visits with Dr. Watterson. Things look so good. Pain has been at a minimum. I would would back to Dr. Watterson!!!

Dr. Watterson is the most compassionate and understanding doctor that I have had the privilege of meeting. He performed two surgeries on me, one is 2004 and one in 2018. Both of my surgeries changed my life in ways I will never be able to explain. He took my every concern and every thought to heart and listened to anything and everything I wanted/needed to say. He spent countless hours with me and showed so much care and concern. My surgeries were perfect and so are my results.

Last year, my 31 year old daughter was crossing through an intersection when a cement truck ran a red light, killing her on impact. It was shocking for the whole family and as I struggled through funeral arrangements, supporting her siblings, and processing my own loss I began to notice how the grief was affecting my face. My eyes looked sad, even when I smiled, and I began to get a rash at the outer corners, related to tears and weariness. My personal philosophy to “choose and reflect joy” was disappearing from my outer appearance. I decided to research blepharoplasty to rejuvenate the area around my eyes. I wondered if perhaps an “eye” lift on the outside might affect an “I” lift on the inside. As I began to explore my options I knew that the most important consideration was finding the right plastic surgeon. I needed one who had enough of the right experience, specifically working with eyes, because they would be impossible to cover if things went wrong. I needed a surgeon I could trust completely to partner with me to create and reconstruct my eyes, from a shared aesthetic perspective. I wanted to look rested and peaceful, not pulled and stretched. I scheduled consultations with several surgeons, but after meeting with Dr. Watterson I cancelled the other appointments. The office environment and staff were friendly, comforting and emotionally supportive. Dr. Watterson created a comfortable and safe space for asking questions and offering realistic recommendations after he understood what I was hoping to achieve. Without arrogance or ego, his boyscout charm blended with incredible qualifications and an impeccable reputation. I felt 100% comfortable with and confident in both Dr. Watterson and his support team. From consultation to Post op, the doc and the staff presented the perfect blend of warmth and expertise. My bruising was minimal, healing optimal and results exactly what I had hoped. My experience is exemplified by the words of the father of plastic surgery, GaspareTagliacozzi, who became famous in the 1500’s for repairing noses amputated during war. He said, “We restore, repair and make whole those parts … which nature has not given or which misfortune has taken away, not so much that they may delight the eye, but that we should buoy up the spirit and help the mind of the afflicted.” This has been my result, to be made whole, buoyed up in spirit and mind, to be restored that which misfortune has taken away. Through the combination of Dr. Watterson’s good heart and good training, my eyes and my soul received the much appreciated lift that is helping me lift those who rely on me. A deep heartfelt thank you to Dr. Watterson and to your whole wonderful team.

Dr. Waterson listened to me and my concerns with every consultation we had leading up to the surgery, as well as my follow ups. You can't even see the scars. He was very diligent in making sure I looked natural and most people don't know I had anything done and it's exactly what I wanted. I feel so much better about the way I look and so thrilled with the result. He cares about the outcome and making sure you are happy. I have recommended him to many of my friends.

Dr. Watterson is an excellent doctor who makes his patients feel very comfortable and confident in his surgical expertise. I was very blessed to have had him for my doctor and would encourage anyone interested in having a procedure to schedule a consultation with him. He will be greatly missed in North Carolina!

I first met Dr. Watterson twenty years ago after having bilateral mastectomies due to breast cancer. His care, compassion and attention to detail is unsurpassed. He did a latissimus dorsi flap with implants and I was thrilled with the results and felt like a woman again. Several years ago he did a face lift for me and the results were so natural that people commented on how good I looked but didn't know why! He is an excellent surgeon and one of the kindest doctors I know. I would trust him completely with any procedure you are considering - you won't be disappointed.

Patient, calm, excellent work, passionate about what he does and great results. Dr. Watterson performed an abdominoplasty and breast enlargement for me and delivered on what he promised. He took all the time in explaining the procedures and what to expect. I had no complications and the results are perfect with minimal scarring.

Great place! Dr.Watterson is awesome! He listens to ensure all of your expectations are met. I would go back to him in a heart beat in the future.

Doctor Watterson is a kind, skillful and empathic doctor. He is not only a gifted and talented plastic surgeon but also an honest and ethical physician. For him the well being and the satisfaction of his patients come first. He has been my doctor for more than a decade as well as my family and friend's doctor. When I found out he was leaving Charlotte, I felt extremely sad as I can honestly said he is the only plastic surgeon I trust completely. I am planning to get a facelift later this year for my 50th birthday and I will travel to Utha to have him perform my surgery. Every lady that I know who had a facelift by him look younger and refreshed not pulled and artificial. I cant wait to look as good as he made my mom look!!
